Good things come in small packages here. The resto has a scant 36 seats, sprinkled across the main floor of this old house. The best seats in the house are near the windows, overlooking a wide yard and then Sherbrook Street. There’s something nostalgic and romantic about the space that invites conversation or simply window gazing. Full review here

For the last half a dozen years or so, BMC Market has been serving up cheap and cheerful tacos out of a bright blue building at 722 Osborne Street in the city’s southern reaches. Well North Enders, it’s time to rejoice. The owners have just opened a second location at 1113 Henderson Highway—this one called BMC Taqueria. Full review here

Feast Café Bistro bills itself as a restaurant featuring modern dishes rooted in First Nation foods. So it’s no surprise to find bannock and bison, Saskatoon and squash making regular appearances on the menu. And that’s fantastic. While the ingredients are important, it’s what Feast does with them that makes this cozy diner so appealing. Everything is made from scratch. Full review here
